Last weekend it was over +10°C and sunny. On Wednesday we had a blizzard and everything got covered in snow again. Yesterday was a sunny but cold day, and today we are having another blizzard. The forecast for next week’s Tuesday says it will be sunny and +15°C. Spring in Finland…
@matigo I have felt A-OK for hours now. But I feel rather weak as I have not been able to eat or even drink as much I would need to compensate the losses.
I have been wanting to start cycling as early as possible this Spring. The unfortunate thing is that my bike has quite narrow tires (28 mm) which makes the bike not to be safe enough to ride on the roads that have a rather thick layer of gravel that have been scattered to fight against slippery conditions throughout the winter.
To ”fix” this issue I have been eyeing wider tires that would still fit on that bike (35 mm or 42 mm). There plenty of options available to me, but buying those would also mean that I would need to buy another set of wheels with wider rim to make the wider tires fit better (the wheels I currently have fit max 32 mm tires). So, I would need to buy them as well. And while I am looking for the new wheels, I was thinking about getting a new cassette with bigger gears so that I could cope easier with the speed reduction caused by the wider tires and the gravel. In other words, buying a set of new tires turned out to be a bit more complicated thing than anticipated…
@matigo Luckily I was able to get that demo mode done in only a couple of hours on Friday. 😊
The video was not enough, the submission got rejected again. Apple needs to be able to perform a hands-on review, so we ended up adding a demonstration mode that can be activated only with a deliberate action. Also, we have a mechanism to enable/disable the mode remotely in order to use it only for the review purposes and to minimize security risks.
@matigo I do not find the app review process to be a burden. It is just that our app has hardened security things, which makes it incompatible with the "normal" review flow. Also, while Apple has the manual review process as their default solution, it is actually more developer-friendly than Google's automatic process. Google's process might take several days before they send system-generated message that the submission was rejected. And when you submit a reply to the rejection, it takes another several days before a human reacts to it. With Apple the reaction time is usually within 24 hours…
