No. When I was young and lived with my parents we did see them every winter as there was less light pollution etc. Now that I live the capital region there is so much light everywhere that it is almost impossible to see them. Also, I have never seen them this late in Spring as the sky is still pretty well lit by the sun for hours after it has set. For example, this photo was taken after we came back home at mignight. That blue in the Northwester(!) is indeed lit by the sun 3 hours after it had set.
