@matigo I think you have your fair share (and then some more) of that shit yourself. It’s… annoying, to put it mildly. In today’s release meeting he wanted to have another pilot group try out the app before the release (it is planned to happen on Tue or Wed) and soon thereafter he went on and ranted how there is so little time to do these pilots before the release. Well, the reason there’s so little time is that he wants the releases happen on such a tight schedule… 🙄
We will see next Tuesday how disappointed the Product Owner will be when we will shoot down his attempts to include certain stories to the next Sprint. There are 3 major reasons why we will do that:
- Those stories are not defined well enough to fulfil our Definition of Ready1,
- We have effectively less than 50% of capacity due to the holidays, and
- There are other, doable things that must be done to fulfil his other wishes.
Also, he might get slightly pissed off because we have done some work for him that he doesn’t want to do. Or at least that’s how his attitude towards the project appears to us.
Which then leads to the actual point I had for this post: yeah, have been way, way too busy lately. Again. So, hello my old friends. I’m not dead. Yet.
This actually caused some issues in the last Sprint when we took in stuff that did not fulfil the DoR. We don’t want that happen again.
@matigo Well put. Old habits don’t wear off that easily. It’s funky how the tech pundits do not understand that even though they are always the first ones whining about changing their workflows. 🤷♂
@matigo Yep. Most often the worst offender is a super simple app that just hogs all the resources it can take. I have noticed that the majority of these apps (or all of them) are just web apps masquerading as native apps.
@matigo I have been pondering that same question lately. Just yesterday I had something hogging all the resources I have on my work laptop.
@matigo I use both Slack (our internal chat) and Teams (used by our customer) at work at the moment. In my opinion they both, well, suck. But then again, I haven't seen a communication tool that would fulfil all the desires all users have. Most likely such a tool will never become, as people's needs vary so much. 🤷♂

@streakmachine @matigo I stumbled upon another feel-good trucker YouTube channel, Slipses. That one has a lot of beautiful scenery from the Northern Scandinavia (mostly Norway, but also from Sweden and Finland). 👍
@streakmachine Also, all those bad driving clips have an educational edge to them, which I like. ”Don’t drive like this because…”
What I truly enjoy is the Viewers & Friends part as well as the last quarter or so of the video where he just drives a pretty-looking road. 👍

@matigo Yes. Check out, for example, the latest video and jump to the latter part of it. Totally worth it.
