I haven't worked on my 10C app(s) for ages, but now I'd like to scratch that itch again. But alas, I have no time to do anything with the app at the moment.

That's likely. Luckily I am a consultant here, so I can question (the rationale behind) every decision that has been made. In the end, that's one of my responsibilities here.

I think he probably will get rewarded by the corporation for being such an effective person…

I guess this guy was just checking that 1) I wasn't wearing a suit and 2) didn't have the badge hanging around my neck as the stupid instructions1 say and therefore saw his opportunity to bully me a bit.

  1. The instructions say that the badge should be above one's waist with the face of the badge directed forwards. I haven't seen the reasoning behind that and, to be fair, can't see why the corporate security would be compromised if one does not follow the instructions to the letter and has the badge in his/her pocket or something.

Still feeling a bit agitated by yesterday's "incident" with the overenthusiastic "security guy". I see no valid reason why he did that, other than being a jerk.

? That's the best description for wearing a suit I have ever heard.

I probably wouldn't survive in the work culture there. I hate suits, which seems to be the only acceptable clothing choice over there. That seems to be the case also here in big corporations like the one I am currently providing consulting for.

A fucking overenthusiastic twat wanted to check my badge when I entered the customer premises. He even interrupted his discussion with another person. Also, he complained that the badge should be hanging around my neck (as the instructions say!) because I happened to have it in my hand after having entered the premises through a locked door that requires me to use the badge to unlock it.

Seriously, this is how we treat grown-up people? No wonder this world is such a shitty place to live in if one cannot trust another person to use their common sense. Fucking annoying.
