@c Have to be sometimes, otherwise there would be no point in this life.
All kids wanted to stay awake until the year changed. Surprisingly, they all did, including the 5-yo who was dead tired already 2 hours before midnight. We parents would have liked to go to bed earlier but we weren’t allowed. Today the boys got up closer to 9, on work/school days the older is up at 7 at latest. I will wake up the girls soon, they need their wake-up time adjusted back to the normal 0700–0730.
@kdfrawg I was talking about Face ID, but, yes, the comment could also be about that too.
Stupid people are, well, unsurprisingly, stupid. How many articles can be written about an "issue" that 1) is a non-issue to begin with and 2) was clearly stated in the original description of the thing? Apparently a lot.
@matigo Also, the writers' personal preferences are way too often influencing the tone of their writing. I have always thought that news should be as neutral as possible, otherwise they are nothing but op-eds. But, alas, nowadays the majority of news reporting is nothing but those and finding News is harder day by day.

@matigo But safety first! They need to be so safe that nothing can break them! Including the parents of the child!
@streakmachine When I chose a new phone 2 years ago, I went with the non-plus 6s. First I found it a bit too big (I had a 5 before that), though not as huge as the Nexus 5 I was using as my work phone, but I grew to like its size. I really liked it when Apple released the SE because that was the size I knew I, as well as many others, liked. I do hope they will keep such a phone in their line-up.
Also, that reminded me, remember how tech media was writing doom and gloom for Apple back in 2011–2012 because they wanted Apple to make bigger phones simply because everyone wants one? ?
