I really, really should add some content for my website. Luckily there is one thing in the near future that I could use an excuse to announce something interesting I have been planning for a while. It may not be of interest to the majority of you, though.

Also, I should work on Blips, my microblog, and make the posts linkable. That would help me to make it (as well as the other content on the site) support the Webmention protocol.

Well, we have been waking up on a regular schedule, it just have been 2–3 hours later than normally… ?

Have to be sometimes, otherwise there would be no point in this life.

Oh, and happy new year everyone!

All kids wanted to stay awake until the year changed. Surprisingly, they all did, including the 5-yo who was dead tired already 2 hours before midnight. We parents would have liked to go to bed earlier but we weren’t allowed. Today the boys got up closer to 9, on work/school days the older is up at 7 at latest. I will wake up the girls soon, they need their wake-up time adjusted back to the normal 0700–0730.

@kdfrawg I was talking about Face ID, but, yes, the comment could also be about that too.

Stupid people are, well, unsurprisingly, stupid. How many articles can be written about an "issue" that 1) is a non-issue to begin with and 2) was clearly stated in the original description of the thing? Apparently a lot.

? Oh, my…

Also, the writers' personal preferences are way too often influencing the tone of their writing. I have always thought that news should be as neutral as possible, otherwise they are nothing but op-eds. But, alas, nowadays the majority of news reporting is nothing but those and finding News is harder day by day.

But safety first! They need to be so safe that nothing can break them! Including the parents of the child!
