Buying a (used) car is damn hard. Due to the constraints in both budget and the size of the car there are not that many viable options out there. And of those few are sold within the reasonable reach of public transport¹ only a handful are actually worth checking out.

Today I went to test drive one car (a 2009 Citroen Grand C4). It was… an unpleasant experience. While it had some nice things, the overall feeling was not what I wanted. Tomorrow I will go test drive another car, I hope that will be a nicer experience.

While I enjoyed the gigs I saw in Tuska last Saturday I still feel like I missed a few awesome bands I would have liked to see. Obviously, having only a one-day ticket kind of forced me to miss many of those bands. Until yesterday I was completely unfamiliar with a band called Galatic Empire [itunes.apple.com] that were in Tuska on Saturday. Unfortunately I missed their gig simply because I came to the festival area an hour after their gig had ended.

About that band… It’s a kind of a joke, but they do have done great job adapting the original compositions to the style.

They were awesome, as expected. ?

@matigo It is very likely that I can ignore those emails after my vacation completely. There has been talks that we wouldn’t continue in the project come August because of budget constraints. ?‍♂

The users have complained a lot about wrong data displayed by the app. The ”fun” fact is that the app fetches the data from a backend service and displays the data as it is. That means the service returns wrong data. I have reported this to the customer many, many, many times and they have not contacted the team responsible for the service. When I finally contacted the team myself directly, they answered that they will not make any updates to the existing service as they are in the middle of total rewrite of the whole shebang and the new version will be out later this year. That has caused quite a shitstorm now. It’s good that I started my vacation half an hour ago.

@gtwilson In this context ”circus” refers to those two presidents that will hold a meeting. I believe that will cause a lot of inconvenience to regular people here.

Speaking of parents-in-law, mine will visit us tomorrow. Let’s see what kind of inconveniences that will cause.
