Calls done. Now I need to take the firstborn to see a doctor (again), and when we get back home I will take the nap.
@matigo True. I am expecting a couple of calls today, I just hope they would make those calls before I take the nap.
@matigo They are old enough to entertain themselves. But let’s see if I will get phone calls while I am sleeping. That could piss me off even more.
Managed to sleep ~4 hours last night. I will need to make a couple of calls early in the morning, so I need to be awake for a while now. Then I will definitely take a nap.
@variablepulserate Indeed. I hope so too, but there will be dark days ahead as he will no longer be able to do certain things he has loved to do.
@matigo I would guess it will force him to stop smoking for a while as he needs to lay down on the hospital bed. For the others, I surely hope so.
@matigo It will be a huge change in their lives, and that is an understatement.
My father had blood clots in both of his legs earlier this year. They were operated and the left leg recovered well. The right leg, on the other hand, had complications and it needed to be operated a couple of times more. Unfortunately, those operations did not clear the complications and yesterday the leg had to be amputated. He is in the hospital now, and hopefully the recovery will start smoothly soon.
This will be hard thing for him as he has lost his ability to move around like he has used to. In spite of his rather unhealthy habits (smoking, drinking, fat and salt heavy foods) he has been quite active with his free time. Now all that comes to a halt as all those activities have made him walk a lot.
This also means other major changes in my parents’ way of living, starting from moving as they live in an apartment house that has no elevator. I will be visiting my mother next week to list down the things that need to be changed.
