Indeed. The whole ”Apple tax” complaint is absurd. If one looks for an alternative that has the same technical specifications it will cost the same or even more…

Indeed. I made some small improvements also today, let’s see if I can shave off an hour or so a day to get the work forward in small steps.

Managed to get some work done on that framework I have been thinking about. It was very preliminary work, let’s see when I can actually get the actual coding done.

Well, this is not so important to either my work or the general public. It is just something I would like to have and do. 🤷‍♂

Also, I think I got the final open questions answered for the framework I have been designing. Now it is just a matter of time to finding time to do the implementation (and documentation).

We got the permission to release the fix we had in place, but let’s see if there will be another change in the future to get the feature work as the business wants. That will require some additional discussions how to handle a couple of special cases, and that discussion will involve a lot of overall architectural discussions. It won’t be ”a quick fix” then to implement it.

In today’s episode of stupid corporate shit we deal with a feature that is ”not working as it should” in spite of it having been in production for 2 years now and having been built as specified… 🤦‍♂

I would say improvements, not necessarily optimizations. Especially when it is about a rather obscure library.

The original project has some things I don’t like, so it will be more like get inspiration and rewrite.
