@matigo Indeed… Unfortunately we need to use an API that is not even provided by our customer to whom we do the mobile apps for, instead it comes from their banking core provider the customer has partial ownership of. Then the API is just in principle a simple proxy layer that fetches data from the different backend services, so the issue might be that the backend service itself does not provide the needed data in the first place. Not the first (and very likely not the last) time we have to deal with this kind of bullshit…
I can feel the headache growing in intensity. It was triggered by a combination of the warmth (general weather thing) and a lack of essential data in an API call (work thing).
Managed to do some work on the build tools repository today. While it was 100% shell code before, now it is ~85% CMake and ~15% shell. All I did was to add one CMake function for configuring shellcheck targets and then used it to test the existing shell script in the repository. That tells quite a lot about the size of that simple shell script I had earlier there. 😆
@matigo 22°C is already a lot here in Finland… 😁 The forecasted high in the afternoon is currently 27°C, which is a tad too hot in my opinion.
@hazardwarning People, as a general group, are stupid. And nowadays people think they have nothing but rights, no responsibilities or anything like that. Which is why I generally try to avoid other people as much as possible. 😁
@hazardwarning While the sunny weather is nice, the nature is craving for some rain at the moment as it has not rained for a while and it has been exceptionally warm for August.
Thinking about going for a walk. It is warm out there, ~26°C with relative humidity a bit over 60%, so it won’t be that pleasant. Luckily the temperature has come down a bit, but the humidity has gone up instead. 😕
@matigo Yes. You are very likely to use a larger variety of muscles for work that your body has not accustomed to do for long periods of time. Walking, on the other hand, is something that our bodies were designed for and it is rather efficient way to move around.
Had an appointment with an optometrist to check my eyesight. There were some small adjustments to my current glasses (that were bought ~4 years ago), so I bought new ones. Thanks to a voucher card, I ended up paying only 65€ in total.
