Hah. She was using my wife’s old iPhone 6, so she could be asking for the iPhone X instead of a Scamsung… ?

We were planning to buy a new phone to our older daughter1, but apparently we need to buy 2 phones instead of just 1. Let’s see how things turn out in the end.

  1. We would have passed her current 5s to our older son whose 5 would have been passed to the youngest.

We have some old crappy Android phones we bought for the girls when they went to the school. Using one of those will definitely teach her to look after her stuff better than now.

She already has, but she will learn even more. Not having a good phone to use is a proper punishment in itself.

Update: my daughter’s phone is dead. Doesn’t boot, doesn’t charge, etc. Now she has to cope without a phone for a while.

Currently listening to Bathory’s Hammerheart album. Good stuff. ?

I wonder how they did compute that. ?

Thanks for the tip. I distract myself by listening to Porcupine Tree for now. ?

Yep. Especially when it comes to historical events I can spend hours and hours there.

Went to the rabbit hole again. I am currently reading about the Nedelin catastrophe [en.wikipedia.org] on Wikipedia. How did I get there? I listened to Rush and their song Countdown was playing. I wanted to know from where those space flight parts in the song were from, so I went digging. They were from the STS-1 mission, flown by the Space Shuttle Columbia. That lead to reading about the re-entry disaster of the shuttle, which in turn lead to the list of space-related disasters. From that list I wanted to know more about this one specific incident.

They are. Today was pretty expensive already1 and now this. Luckily she has 2 spare pairs of glasses.

  1. Had to pay the first installment of the car, the annual tax for the car, and an insurance installment for the aforementioned car.
