That’s a pretty narrow street.
@variablepulserate We are on a ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm that leaves at 5 pm (Helsinki time) and arrives at 10 am (Stockholm time). Then we will spend the day in Stockholm and then come back over the next night. It is fairly refreshing to be able to sleep before the visiting Stockholm, and the same applies to when we come back home.
And what comes to the hassle, it is pretty non-existent. As both countries are members of the EU, the Schengen area, and Nordic countries1, one just needs to have the boarding pass with them. Also, the Covid restrictions are pretty relaxed nowadays, so there is no hassle with that either.
Should one wish to travel to Tallinn instead, then there is a bit more hassle due to different regulations. IIRC, one would need s valid ID to be able to enter the ferry. But then again, that trip across the sea will take only a couple of hours, so one will be in Tallinn on the same day even though the ferry would leave in the evening.

There has been constraint-free travel between the Nordic countries well before Schengen or EU.
@matigo Yeah, but waiting an extra hour at the ferry terminal is, well, not that nice. When we leave at 14:30 we will still be early enough at the terminal.
It seems that being on holiday have affected my ability to understand the clock. We are supposed to leave from home at 14:30, but I was about to get everything ready by 13:30. 😆
Pull request for the discussion opener done. Let’s see if it gets merged in. I am not 100% happy with it, but it does what it is supposed to do. I might want to extend it, but that will happen at earliest 2 weeks from now as I am not ”working” at the monent.
@matigo That is the hardest part of this job, no wonder so many get it wrong. I’m glad that he has learned the skill to distill the received info into clear requirements. Feel free to compliment him on my behalf as well. And remember to give yourself a pat on the back for being such a great mentor to him.
Was thinking about going to the gym this morning, but then I slept late and now I need to take care of a couple of other things. Maybe in the afternoon?
@matigo Nice! It is really the best part of being a mentor to see them "grow" and learn all the things.
@matigo That is still significantly faster than what I had yesterday. Based on the average I had (11m30s), you would be done with a 5 km walk when I just reach the 4 km mark… 😁
@matigo Well, there is also that. However, I would need to stay behind as I am still in the reserve forces until I am 65 years old. But I would not be among the first to enter the frontlines.
