Job well done, Scamsung. The A5, which I use as a test device, has been losing its connection to the SIM card that has been inside the device all the time while I have been actively using the device. It just locked the phone and claimed that "can't find the SIM card". I have been able to recover from this situation by entering the PIN code and opening the phone again, but yesterday evening the phone started rejecting the valid PIN code and locked the SIM card.

And then there are people who wonder why I hate Android devices.

Currently listening to Classic Metal Essentials playlist on Apple Music. It has all the usual suspects: Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dio, and so forth. In other words, classic metal songs that are not that extreme. Except the very last one that is Freezing Moon by Mayhem [itunes.apple.com]. It is indeed a classic (black metal song), but not necessarily in the eyes (or ears) of the majority of people who like the other songs on this list. Do I like it? Hell yeah! ?

Wait, what?!? MikroBitti, a Finnish gadget magazine, says in its Samsung Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2 review combo that ”the phones provide only minor improvements (over last year’s models)”¹. I thought that comment was reserved only for news and reviews related to iPhones. ?

Feeling awful this morning. Didn’t sleep well last night for some reason. If this feeling doesn’t go away by lunch time, I will go home to rest.

@jws Any solution that requires a specific programming language and/or environment is prone to break when you move your shit around. Which is why I prefer to use very basic tools and as plain code as possible¹.

1. Read: I use some old-fashioned programming language (bash ❤ ) and/or a lot more basic than with some fancy-pants library (especially in the case of Javascript).
