It's always great that in spite of rigorous testing there are always some fundamental "bugs" found in the flow on the day the new version is supposed to go out. It would help if there would be at least some sort of specifications in the first place…
@matigo In the matter of fact, they are replacing it with a modern solution. It’s just not ready yet. Also, the old and new systems will be used simultaneously until the new system has all wanted functionality. That means this Conductor app needs to support both systems.
@tomas Finnair is one of the world’s most reputable airlines. If can buy their intercontinental flight fairly cheap, it is a bargain.

That over-engineered sales backend didn’t like it if we send the train conductor’s user name as the inspector identifier for the inspected tickets. That identifier, albeit being handled as an alphanumeric variable in the backend, apparently needs to be 12 characters long series of digits. For fuck’s sake…
