The new color scheme has been deployed to my website. Feel free to give comments, if you feel like it.
@matigo That reminded of this gem:
”I drink only on days that start with the letter T: Tuesday, Thursday, and Today!”

I think I have found the color combination I want. Dark orange (#ff8c00) and its light mode variant (#b55000) have been relegated to take place as the fourth color (link hover), the main colors being black(#000000), linen (#faf0e6), and dark green (#228b22 on dark mode, #1f7f1f on light mode). Now, final testing before I push the changes to my main site…
// @matigo
Hooray. Production issues that are reported as front-end problems but that seems most likely to be on the backend side of things…
@matigo Yeah, that could work! 😆
The issues with dark orange is that it is both too bright (when the body text is (off-)white and the background is black) and too dark (when the body text is black and the background is (off-)white) to be the highlight color. It must be close to brown (when background is black) to meet the required accessibility contrast ratios, and I do not like brown…
Thinking of the color scheme on my website. I love black and (dark) orange, but combining those with a light color in an accessible way is a nightmare. Dark/forest green would be another good alternative to orange, but that then has issues with black. Damn it…
Took about an hour to dig the car out from the snow. Yes, that’s 20+ cm of snow on top of the car.
// @matigo
We got 20–30 cm of new snow with this storm, and as it came down at 0°C it is very, very heavy. Luckily I don’t have to clear any of it, apart from those few spots around the car.
@matigo Nah, these are things I had planned for the site, umm, 5–6 years ago… 😬
Got everything fixed. I think I will do some small refactoring still, then I will push it to the main site.
Also, I came up with a ton of good feature ideas that I will do when I have time.
