@streakmachine Yep. Cannot count the number of such occasions during this year alone… 😆
Went on purpose to the shopping mall to get the groceries because I had 2 bottle recycling receipts1 that I would use. Did I remember to give them to the cashier? Of course not…
In Europe and especially in the Nordics one pays a small deposit for every bottle or can. The deposit is returned when the bottle/can is recycled. Less waste and the material can be re-used, everybody wins.
@matigo She was doing dishes in the back when I was there. Had a brief chat with her after completing my order, though.
Meetings have been held and the new headphones packed to the backpack. Heading home, with a pit stop at a Subway to get a foot-long for lunch and to say hi to the younger daughter who has been ”getting familar with work life”1 at that Subway for the past 2 weeks.
In Finland the 8th and 9th graders have a ”work” period as a compulsory part of their education so that they get to see what kind of things adults do for living. That will hopefully help them make up their minds what they want to do after school.
@matigo Also, I used the previous model when I worked at the university and it was by far the most comfortable pair I have ever worn.
@matigo That is annoying, but it is usually temporary as one can adjust the wiring around a bit. Also, the selection of good wired headphones is broader and, like you said, the ”connection” is always great (apart from hardware issues). The pair I got has detachable cord, which makes it easy to change the wire if it goes bad.
@matigo I prefer wired headphones when I am working on computer and have meetings. For on-the-go purposes wireless is the way to go. 😊
Heading to the office to attend a couple of meetings and to pick up my new wired headphones.
