About to set up my new work laptop. As a part of the process I cleaned up my browser windows and tabs. Now I have only one tab open in one window. Want to guess which site it is? ?
@matigo I particularly enjoyed the fact that it uses variable type Money for all numbers… ?
If this specification wouldn't be so damn apt, I would cry. Instead I laugh inside.

I’m not a huge fan of the so-called mathematics metal genre but I enjoy that kind of music if not for anything else than the musicianship it takes to make and master those complex songs.
Currently I’m listening to the L’enfant sauvage [itunes.apple.com] album by Gojira. [itunes.apple.com] I saw them play live some of these songs at Tuska this summer.
@matigo It’s the Google Way™ : move ”fast” and break things (including backwards compatibility on their own platform) without properly documenting it. All the other players get a ton of shit when they make any breaking changes that they have announced well in advance. Google doesn’t because Everybody Loves Google™ , right? ?
Way to go, Google. Yes, Android Lollipop is no longer officially supported, but it would be nice if updating certain Google libraries would not lead to Lollipop devices crashing at app launch. First the crash was caused by one 3rd-party library missing from the APK, but we got rid off that by updating the library as well as the other 3rd-party libraries that depended on it. Now the app crashes when it tries to load an Android architecture library (lifecycle).
Some days I just want to go home and weep. Today seems to be one such a day.
My older daughter needs to read some books and/or watch movies from different genres for school. One of the movies she selected was 千と千尋の神隠し, [en.wikipedia.org] one of my favorite movies of all times. We had planned to buy it anyway (among with other Studio Ghibli movies), so now we had a great excuse to actually buy it. Also, the super market we go normally has Studio Ghibli movies on sale, so we go it for a pretty good price.
We had a company casual afternoon yesterday. We went for a short cruise where we ate some food and enjoyed the views. After that some of us went to a bar, where I drank 2 pints of beer in ~3 hours. That isn’t much, but I am having a hungover. Not nice.
Google has done a pretty nice library for recognizing and reading barcodes and QR codes that is easy to set up and use. However, if the code does not contain data in certain formats the library is pretty much useless. Want to guess if the format we want is supported? Of course not…
@matigo I left the meeting after lunch and went to our own office to work on the other project. So there’s that.
