Read that there's more snow in Stockholm than ever during the past 100 years. And it's just early November. People who love winter must be enjoying this, right ?

Here in Helsinki region we have "only" 30–40 cm of snow, which is very far from the record. But we still have more snow than on average in early November.

I wouldn't be so sure. But maybe that's just the inherent pessimist in me saying that. I hope for the best, but also prepare for the worst.

@kdfrawg It's time to prepare for the worst case scenario and learn survival skills?

There were better times after the collapse of the USSR. However, the tone of the discussion about Finland in Russia has taken a few sharp turns during the past 5–10 years. For example, next year will be Finland's 100th year of independence, but some (fairly prominent) politicians in Russia have questioned the circumstances where Lenin granted the independence.

Living in a country next to an unstable, huge country makes me really, really nervous for the future.

Someone wrote about the same thing as I did yesterday, but with more words and more accuracy than I ever could have: https://medium.com/@theonlytoby/history-tells-us-what-will-happen-next-with-brexit-trump-a3fefd154714#.qe3kjimlo

Yes, it's a Medium post. And yes, I know…

That didn't last long. When I had to be out, the snowfall started again. This time it snowed quite heavily. But when I was coming back it stopped again.

I don't mind the snow, it was that pathological liar you mentioned…

Don't make me come over there… shakes fist

Wait a second… The snowfall has stopped! Well, it was about time, it has been snowing continuously for 3 days now.
