It won't be China that starts the military confrontation. It will be the other 2 that will do that. But it may start with the refusal of shipping goods, though.

Nah. I think the trigger will happen between 3 big players, namely USA, China, and Russia. At least the attitudes seem to suggest that.

Ah, that depends on the mail account type. Imagine that shitstorm if Apple were to ignore the Archive feature people love in Gmail and simply use Delete instead. Other account types seem to behave better.

Check Settings -> Mail -> Swipe Options. You can associate left/right swipe to delete. That way you don't need to open the message.
