It often is. But in their case they are reporting Truth with a capital T. :-)

I have heard the same. And while they have quite amusing news stories every now and then, they really are reporting the Truth™.

I find even more sad that news sites use tweets as a source for their own reporting. Once that tweet is deleted, that news report is completely useless. There is no link back to the original source, even though it may have been cached/captured by some other organization.

@kdfrawg Mostly lessons learned. The current product has been developed quite poorly, and none of the features have been clearly specified and documented anywhere. This time we can do it right from the beginning.

@kdfrawg I'd say we always do. Humans are perfecting the skill to "forget" everything we have learned and then we keep on repeating the same mistakes.

@kdfrawg Yup. Luckily I get to rewrite this app from scratch, which should make it a lot better.

There are still a few days left of 2016. I'm frigthened to think about what else can still happen.

People are concerned about this just now? And just a couple of years ago they thought we were wearing tinfoil hats…

Sigh… Maybe I just need to give up with this one bug and let it be. I can't get it fixed by spending hours for a possible solution that can fuck up the layout in various ways. The whole app may be rewritten from scratch soon-ish, which also means that all the use flows are likely to get rethought through. That should "fix" the issue for good.

@kdfrawg We had snow for one week in early November, though…
